The pie chart illustrates the percentage of water consumption for six products and the proportion of total income generated by these products in Australia in 2004.
In general, vegetables required the largest amount of water, while rice and dandelion were the least significant categories in terms of water consumption. In addition, although fruits were the main source of total income, rice generated a negligible percentage of income.
Regarding water consumption, vegetables dominated the chart, accounting for 46% of total water usage in 2004. This was followed by fruits at 28% and cereal at 12%. While lime contributed 8% of water, rice and dandelion recorded the smallest shares, each representing only 3%.
In terms of income, fruits were primary contributor to total income, making up 40% of overall revenue. Meanwhile, vegetables accounted for the second profitable figure, presenting 31%. In addition, cereal and lime showed the same results of 12% and 8% in terms of income compared to their water usage respectively. Finally, dandelion accounted for 8% of total income, whereas rice contributed inly 1%, representing a negligible percentage of income.
