The area used to offer a few facilities in 2000. There were showers and toilets, with marine private yachts on the top-left boundary. The car park and fishing boats were situated on the opposite side. Moreover, passenger ferries were located near the dock. There was a castle, with public beach on the southeast side.
Since then, Porth harbour has changed slightly. The private yachts was turned into fishing boats, and the hotel has been constructed in the disappearance of the castle. While cafes and shops have been built next to the lifeboat, the public beach has been converted into private beach. It has been added new showers and toilets opposite to the car park. The ferries and lifeboat for passengers remained intact.
