The two maps illustrate changes in the layout of the Grange park from 1920 to present day.
Overall, a brief analysis reveals that several changes are made to the Grange park throughout the years, including the addition of new facilities, like- café, play area for children, Amphitheatre for concerts and underground car parking as well as relocate of rose garden, seats and water pond. Moreover, stage, glasshouse and fountain has been demolished.
In 1920, there was a stage for musicians and a fountain in the west side and the middle of the garden followingly. The stage has been replaced with an Amphitheatre in the present day. Furthermore, a play area for children has been introduced in the place of pond which is in the north east corner of the garden. A water feature has been added in the bottom right corner of the garden.
The two entrances in the Arnold avenue and Eldon street has not changed over the years. There is an additional entrance added in the present day which is through the underground car parking in south east corner of the garden. Then, a café has introduced beside of the children’s play area. Nevertheless, numbers of rose garden have reduced to one and it is located at the center of the garden with seats around it.
