The following two maps illustrate the differences between a public park in 1920 and the same park today.
Overall, a lot of modifications were done to modernize the park with some facilities experiencing no changes since 1920.
With regards to seats and rose gardens, while there were five areas of seats distributed in the whole park, there are four now located in the centre and surrounding a rose garden, which replaced the central fountain. Although the rose garden in the south-west of the park was knocked down, the one in the north-west corner witnessed no change. Furthermore, the one in the north-east of the park is replaced by a café.
Turning to other facilities, the stage of musicians was removed to establish an amphitheatre for concerts. Moreover, the pond in the north-east corner of the map was replaced by a children’s play area with a new water feature to the south of it.
