Below are two maps depicting the differences between Grange Park in 1920 and its present-day location. Surprisingly, both venues remain unchanged, situated between Arnold Avenue and Eldon Street.
Over the years, many have changed in Grange Park. In 1920, there was a stage for musicians to the side of the fountain, which stands in the center of the park. There are three rose gardens and seats on either side, and a pond for water plants as well, to the side of glasshouse.
Today, Grange Park has gone through dramatic changes. Where the stage for musicians had once been located, an Amphitheatre for concerts stood. Next to it is a huge rose garden with seats on every side of it. There is also a new children’s play area and a cafe, which are family friendly facilities. Last but not least, a water feature has been constructed where the glasshouse had once been, expanding the array of children’s entertainment options.
Overall, Grange Park has gone through multiple changes from 1920 to the present day. The addition of the amphitheater, children’s play area and the water feature allows the park to become a children’s haven. These modifications have revitalized the park, enhancing its appeal to adults and children alike.
