The maps illustrate proprosed alternations to the present layout of a university’s Biology School.
Overall, the Biology School is planned to experience several changes, involving the addition of lab, office and car park, along with the removal of green areas. As a result, it will become more functional and accessible but unfortunately less green.
Looking at the maps, at the persent, there is a green area at the top of the map which will no longer be chopped down to make way for a lab and an office. However, there will still be some trees surrounded two new facilities. While the central library in the center and the indoor sports hall proposed to remain untouched, the drama center in the proximity will be replaced by a music center.
In the southeast, two rooms will be separated from the current lecture room. Similarly, there will be a transformation of the original teaching room in the south into two separate rooms. In addition, the green area next to it will be removed in place of a new car oark for staffs. Notably, the cafe between the teaching room and lecture, as well as the IT center nearby, will not witness any changes.
