Overall, while the staircase remained in the same location, significant alterations were made to the furniture arrangement and the addition of a computer section. The shelving system was also reorganized to accommodate a broader range of materials.
In 2001, the librarian’s desk was positioned near the entrance, with a staircase leading to the upper floor to its right. To the left, two large bookshelves housed self-help and history books. Fiction books were situated at the far north end, while newspapers and periodicals occupied a shelf along the east wall, adorned with two potted plants. Eight reading tables were arranged in two rows in the central area.
By 2009, the librarian’s desk had been moved to the left, closer to the entrance. The eight tables were replaced by four larger ones, arranged in a single row facing the librarian’s desk. Four new sections were added to the left: fiction, cooking, economics, and law books, while the children’s section replaced the original fiction books. The newspaper and periodical section was converted into a films and DVDs section, and the potted plants were removed. A significant addition was a new computer area in the northeast corner, adjacent to the relocated librarian’s desk.
