As the plans show, some changes were constructed in the museum’s ground floor over twenty years, from 1990 to 2010. We want to mention some differences between the new layout from the former.
overall, the new plan with some changes has some differences from the past. The five rooms in the former version were transformed into six rooms, While some of them became larger and others remained the same.
There are some renewable changes. The entrance, at the bottom of the plan, was enlarged by approximately double in size while becoming closer to the reception counter on the left side. The local history room, on the right side, remained unchanged in size and location, but the left wall and both doors were omitted, so it just was divided from the poster display area by a wall, with no door. As the plans illustrate, the archeology gallery, at the top right corner on the top, was replaced by two new rooms: the poster display area and children’s interactive zone were separated by a wall and also with no partition from the central part.
On the other side of the museum, on the left, most of the parts were unchanged, such as the museum office and the natural history room maintained the same. However, the gift shop was increased in size and was converted into a Cafe and gift shop, also the lift was added to the space between Cafe and gift shop with the natural history room.
