The map illustrate the past layout of Porth harbour in 2000, and the current layout.
In the past, it is clear to see that the main road ran from North to south with a path stretching out from it to car park. There were showers and toilets locating to the north of car park, with a marina (private yachts) standing to the east. There was a road running from west to east, with a little path leading from it to another car park. At the end of road, there was a lifeboat, with a public beach located to the south and a castle under planning. What’s more, there were only two docks in the north of the map, with a passenger ferries standing to the south of it.
Currently, the number of docks increase from 2 to 3 with more boats can use. There are cafes and shopes constructed to the west of lifeboat. The planned castle change into a hotel with a path stretching out from the road to it, and the public beach transform into private beach for the hotel. A new showers has been built standing north to the south car park.
Overall, the porth harbour has go through significant changes after its development. More specifically, more infrastructures have been buit and the space is used more efficiently.
