The maps compare the layout of the same library five years ago to the new plan of today.
Overall, the biggest changes made to the library are the addition of more studying tables and the re-purpose of various facilities.
In the middle of the maps is the space reserved for studying tables; in the current layout, 2 more tables have been added, turning the number of tables into six. Furthermore, the tables are now repurposed for private use only. Out of the two bookshelves that oppose both sides of the studying area, the one at the bottom of the map has been turned into a desk to support students’ technological gadgets; another desk of the same kind is positioned in the upper right corner of the map, replacing the generic desk for computers that was placed there 5 years prior.
Many of the facilities were repurposed to serve different uses. The library office, which was once located in the downward-right part of the map, has been flipped into a conference room. On the left side of the plan, there used to be three rooms that served as classroom, meeting room, and borrowing and returning desk storage, respectively. However, the current plan has added another facility to this sector, thus turning the total of rooms into four. The classroom has been turned into a recording studio; the meeting room remains the same, while the last room has been separated into a borrowing and a returning storage.
