The diagram illustrates the process of pineapple production from cultivation to distribution.
Overall, the manufacture of pineapples involves several stages, beginning with growing the fruit and ending with their distribution in various forms to different markets.
Initially, pineapples are cultivated under a warm temperature ranging between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius. The fruits reach about 26 centimeters in size after seven months of growth. At this stage, chemicals are applied to help them mature. After another five months, the pineapples grow to approximately 32 centimeters and weigh around 2 kilograms, at which point they are ready for harvest.
Following the harvesting stage, the pineapples are washed with water and then processed in three different ways. First, they are peeled and the flesh is extracted to produce pineapple juice. Second, the fruit is sliced and canned for sale. Finally, some fresh pineapples are coated with wax to preserve their quality before being packed in large containers and shipped to distribution areas.
