The provided pie charts illustrate the different types of courses followed by students across three years: 1984, 1994, and 2004.
Overall, it is evident that there were variety of changes of the way students chose to study during the surved period. Obviously, face to face courses, remaining the top choice for students, along with the appearance of online studying. Additionally, while there were significantly more students prefer mixed media courses, less of them choosing correspondence one.
Face to face courses, which was the most preffered by students at the beginning of the period, maximised with the percentage of 67% in 1984; nevertheless, with the appearance of online courses, this trend declined tremendously by 13% to 54% in 1994, before hitting a low at 40% at the end of the period. In contrast, online courses accounted for 11% since its first trend in 1994 before dropping slightly to 10% in 2004.
Regarding mixed media courses, it showed a significant growth from 13% at the beginning to hit a peak at 35%, replacing correspondence course to become the second-preffered stage of students. Finally, correspondence courses witnessed a minimal drop by 5% to 15% in 2004, after remaining constant for a long period at 20%.
