The table provides information about water consumption in households, while the chart depicts the cost of water in 45 countries. Seen together, there is a link between the amount of water used and the price per volume of different countries.
Overall, we can see it can be easily observed that higher water use leads to a cheaper price of it. As we can see, the US generally had highest domestic water use but witnessed the lowest cost among 5 countries.
Examining the table and the chart, US took the lead in the amount of water use, which was around 360 liters, while the price was only 0.01 USD per m³. The second and the third countries considered to get the water consumption in households goes to Canada and Italy as it was approximately 330 liters and 300 liters respectively, and the water price was 0.31 and 0.7 USD per m³.
The same positive correlation between water use and price cost goes straight to France and Germany. France witnessed the highest cost of water among those countries, which was 2.1 USD per m³ as the volume of water use were only 250 liters. Germany had the same trends as the water use and cost of water were nearly 220 liters and 1.35 USD per m³ respectively.
