The table below gives information in relation to the domestic water consumption in five countries. While the bar chart below illustrates how much US dollars cost per cubic meter of water in the same five countries above.
Overall, it is clear that the data in the bar chart is arranged in descending order, starting from US and ending with Germany. Accordingly, US consumes the most amount of water, while the water utilization in Germany is the lowest of the five countries. On the other hand, in the table, we have the peak and bottom water prices of France and the US respectively.
To begin with, the United States records the highest domestic water consumption among five countries, with an average of around 400 liters. Canada ranks second, consuming roughly 340 liters, while Italy comes third with a usage of about 300 liters. France and Germany are the last two countries with about 250 and 220 liters of water respectively. The usage levels of the top and bottom countries is no more than 180 liters apart.
In terms of the cost of water, there is a clear inverse relationship compared to water consumption. The US, despite being the highest consumer, pays the least for water at only $0.01 per cubic meter. Similarly, Canada has the second lowest cost, at $0.31, while also being the second highest in usage.
In contrast, France and Germany, which use considerably less water, are among the countries with the most expensive water, paying $2.1 and $1.35 respectively. Italy stands in the middle in both usage and cost, with a rate of $0.7 per cubic meter.
