In 2000, the domestic students was around 34000, 5 times in comparision to international students, over 5000 students. In 2010, the amount of research university students increased significantly, from 38849 students in 2000 up to 54081 in 2010. There was a trend in mitigating to Australia among overseas students, in 2010, the number of overseas students was around 15000 students, less than 2,5 times compared to local students, around 40000 students.
Shifting focus to the pie charts, the charts depicts the percentage between local and non-local students and gender. It is apparent that the local male dominated through both charts, with 44% and 38% in 2000 and 2010 respectively. Likewise, the domestic female students accounted for the significant percent, with 43% in 2010 and 35% in 2010. In contrast, the proportion of non-indigenous pupils constituted for a modest percent.
