The illustrated table provides us with information about how modes of traavel in Netherland changed between years of 2001 and 2006.
Overall, the total distance in miles travelled per person from year 2001 to 2006 has increased. The number of car, local distance bus, train and taxi had the biggest jump, whereas walking, local buses and bicycle had a decrease between the two years.
In 2001 the number of all modes was 4740 and this number soared to 6475 in 2006. Car was one of the modes that had the biggest growth, from 3199 miles in 2001 to 4806 in 2006. Followed by local distance bus with 70 miles difference from 2001 to 2006. Train and taxi rose moderately, train rose from 239 to 366 and taxi from 13 to 42 miles.
Opposite of that was walking with a slump from 255 to 237. We can also see that people decreased cycling as the resaults show that in 2001 they have travelled 51 miles whereas in 2006 that number fall by 10miles. A dramatic drop is seen by local buses from 429 to 274.
