The table give information about the percentage of management roles occupied by woman within 4 industries in a European country during 2006 according to each type of position.
Overall, it can be seen that of all the industries, hospitability had the highest proportion of woman in senior positions while manufacturing had the lowest.
Looking at the chart closely, hospitality had the largest proportion of four industries, accounting for almost one-third of the positions. Moreover, it was only industry that the percentage of female CEOS was higher than female executives. In contrast, manufacturing had the lowest figures. Only 9% and 1,21% of the positions were held by female managers and CEOs, respectively.
In finance and IT, the proportion of female managers was around 16%. However, there was a progressive increase in the difference between the percentage of female executives and CEOs.
In conclusion, hospitality was the most prevalent industry among many female as its had the highest proportion of management roles occupied by women. Meanwhile, manufacturing seemed to be challenged among many women, mostly dominated by the male.
