In terms of number of individuals travelling by train, China had the highest number with 27 million, followed by Malaysia with a distinct gap, 5.9 million. Meanwhile, UAE ranked third with 5.5 million and Canada attracted the least number of people with under 1 million. For passenger kilometres per head of population, China countinued to be the dominant with 1980 passengers. In addition, UAE ranked second with 780 passengers, and Malaysia was close up with 770. Conversely, Canada reached the least number of people with 80 passengers.
Regarding number of cargo carried, Canada reached 28.20 billions of tons, indicating the highest figure. Concurrently, China, Malaysia and UAE was at the same level with one another, 23.01, 22.2 and 21.9, respectively.
