The table illustrates the average yearly distance travelled by adults and kinds of transportations between 1977 and 2007.

Overall, people tend to use cars most in the two periods, while their counterpart bicycles and motorcycles are two of the less common ones.

As can be seen, in 1997 people used to work 400 miles while the number had a small drop to 300 miles in 2007. In terms of taxi, about 200 miles was spent for taxi in 1997, whereas in 2007 the number of miles significantly increased to 800. Bicycles and motorcycles had the same trend, which was 100 miles in 1997 and in 2007 both of the groups witnessed a small fall to 80 miles and 90 miles respectively.

According to the chart, cars had a remarkable number in the table in both of the years. Starting 3500 miles in 1997 and the number continue to rise to 7100 miles in 2007 which take up the highest number in the chart. In terms of bus and train, both of the groups began 1997 with 800 and 900 miles respectively, while after 10 years the number of miles people use for bus fell to 500 and there was a small rise up to 1000 for train.
