The table presents information about the small companies in Britain that are revealed top in a study of employees run by a national newspaper to identify the best companies to work for.
Overall the table shows that there are significant differences among companies in terms of different criteria. Staff number and employee turnover both are lowest in the 1st company and highest in the 5th company. However, in terms of gender diversity, three companies, 1st, 2nd and the 4th have a higher portion of female staff than male.
In the table, the 5th company has the highest number of staff, 190, followed by the 2nd, 4th, and the 1st one with the number of 79, 76, 72, and 56, respectively. In terms of gender diversity, the 2nd, and 4th company have a higher portion of female staff than male compared to the 3rd and 5th company, having a lower portion of female staff than male. In addition, the highest portion of female works in the 4th company, which is 87%, and the lowest portion of female works in the 3rd company, which is 26%. However, almost all of the companies have a to no or just a small percentage of employees with age over 55, while the 1st, 3rd and 5th companies have 0% staff of over 55 years old. Moreover, the 2nd and 4th companies have only 1% and 8% on staff over 55 years.
Staff turnover is highest in the 5th company with 33%. Followed by the 2nd, 4th, 3rd and 1st with 18%, 13%, 8%, and 5% respectively. On the other hand the 3rd 1st company has the highest percentage of staff in high income with 74% followed by the 2nd, 1st, 4th, and the 5th companies with 48%, 34%, 5%, and 2% respectively.
