Regarding the more popular courses, 22 percent of expenditure was housing in 1986, 4 percent lower than the figure for 2009, at 26. An opposite ratio was seen in food, at 18 and 15 correspondingly. Ranking in third place was transport, as it accounted for 14, which is equal to the figure for 2009. Having a similar pattern, recreation & entertainment and electricity & water had about 7-8 percent, marginally lower than in 2009, at 10 percent.
Concerning remaining categories, there was 6 percent of recreation and entertainment in 1986, compared to 4 percent in 2009.
