Every region has a different rate of energy consumption calculated in TWh (Terawatt-hours). The data listed is from the multiple regions like Europe, Asia, Africa etc for the year 2010, 2020 and forecast for 2050. Asia is the highest consumer while Austrailia and New Zealand has the lowest consumption over the years.
North America utilized 1200 TWh in year 2010, 1300 in 2020, which increased to 1950 in 2050. Europe consumed 950 in 2010, minimal decrease of 50 units in year 2020, and 1050 in 2050. The energy needs for regions like Asia, Africa and South America keep increasing over the years.
Middle East required 400 units in 2010, with increase in their requirement to 450 in 2020 and 2050. Regions like Austrailia and New Zealand, Eastern Europe and Japan, their consumption has reduced over the years. Western Europe maintained 900 units over the years.
