Overall, it is clear that the percentage of people under 18 in Utah is the highest, while California’s and Florida’s figures are lower and almost at the same level. The income per person in California and Florida is also quite similar. Other features differ between the states.

Utah shows the highest proportion of people under 18, at 28%, while only 8% of its population is aged over 60. In comparison, California has a lower percentage of young people, at 17%, while the figure for those aged over 60 stands at 13%. Florida has the lowest proportion of people under 18, at 16%, but the highest percentage of those aged over 60, at 23%.

Regarding income and poverty, California has the highest average income per person, at $23,000, followed by Florida at $22,000. Utah has the lowest figure, at just $17,000. However, California also has the highest proportion of people living below the poverty line, at 16%, while the corresponding figures for Florida and Utah are 12% and 9%, respectively.
