The given chart gives details about how much money spent on health in 5 distinct countries namely Japan, Italy, Germany, France, and the USA in 2002.
Overall, France dominated the table in both the public and private spending on health. Meanwhile, Japan kept the lowest position in the total of the health expenditure.
In 2002, the amount of money spent on healthcare services leading the chart accounted for 11.4%, with 8.6% of public services and 2.8% private ones. This was followed by Germany, with 9.3% in the total and 7% in public spending. Nevertheless, the second position in private spending belonged to the USA, at 2.6%, being higher by 0.3% than that in Germany.
In addition, relatively similar figures were recorded in the total of the spending on health in Japan and Italy, at 7.2% and 7.7% respectively. Remarkably, although private spending of Japan just took up 1.4% being lower by 1%, its public spending was still higher by 0.6% compared to Italy.
