The table below presents the number of New Zealanders from 2011 to 2012 by age category.
We can see that the age of the population has grown among people who are around 40–64, in addition to those 65+. This means we meet more adults in public places than teenagers.
Individuals under 15 had their statistics decrease by above -0,2% which is not too much; however, it should have grown, not decreased.
Between 2011 and 2012, the statistics for people aged 40–64 rose by +0.6%. This shows that older and younger generations have already increased by 1%. Technically, this percentage changeis significant. It may be because of immigrants or mothers of many children.
In conclusion, I would like to say that the population in every age should increase. This helps the government with economic statistics and tax numbers. If there are more people, there will be more helpful hands to others.
