The table depicts the United Nation statistics in the economic and social indicators of Canada, Japan, Peru and Angola 1994. Overall, the countries can be devided into two categories, well developed countries such as Japan and Canada, underdeveloped countries such as Peru and Angola.
To begin with, Japan and Canada have higher annual income in USD than Peru and Angola. In detail, Japan was the highest at 15760, followed by Canada at 11100, Peru at 160, and Angola at 130. In addition, the life expectancy indicator was following the same trend, Japan was the highest at 78, and Canada was as high as 76, whereas the life expectancy in Peru was at 51 and Angola was the lowest at 47.
Subsequently, the energy intake per person was much dominant in Canada and Japan at 3326 calories for Canada and 2846 for Japan. While the calory intake in Peru and Angola were scarce at 1927 and 1749. Other than that, the illiteracy rate was 99% in both Japan and Canada, whereas only 68% in Peru and 34% in Angola.
