The table chart provides how the amount of rubbish produced in 6 countries: Ireland, Japan, Korea, Poland, Portugal and the United States changed. Overall, it is evident from the chart that the waste production of the United States was overwhelmed over the research period. Also, the rubbish production of Ireland and Korea experienced very different way.
On the one hand, US’s waste production increased significantly during the whole research period. Especially, there was a rapid rose from 151 million of tones in 1990 to 192 million of tones in 2000. In terms of Ireland, the waste production of Ireland increased dramatically more than eight times between 1980 and 2000, while rubbish production of Korea saw a significant decreased from 1990 to 2000.
On the other hand, litter production of Japan grew slightly from 28 million of tones in 1980 to 32 million of tones in 1990. After that, Japan’s waste production increased dramatically, reaching a peak by 53 million of tones. Both Poland and Portugal increased gradually over the entire research period. Poland grew as many as 2.4 million of tones. What is more, Portugal experienced a minimal increased from 2 million of tones to 5 million of tones.
