The table illustrates the weekly salaries of males and females, on average, working in six distinct jobs, namely technicians, service workers, professionals, administrative workers and manual labourers in 2015.
Overall, what stands out from the table is the income of men was consistently higher than that of women. Professionals witnessed a dominant salary in both genders in 2005.
Looking first at the salary fields where both genders gained a highest and lowest income, the average amount of weekly salary of male professionals was 2000 dollars per week, 100 dollars higher than that of females. Although men working as manual labourers gained roughly 1100 dollars per week, women working in this job just only gained 850 dollars at the same time.
As for the remaining salary fields, male technicians witnessed much more income than female ones, with 1400 dollars on average per week which was 500 dollars higher than females. The average weekly salaries of male and female service workers were 1300 dollars and 950 dollars, respectively. While men who worked as clerical employees experienced 1350 dollars on average per week, women working at the same occupation just gained 1000 dollars.
