The table gives information about how much money men and women were paid every week in five occupations, namely technicians, service workers, professionals, administrative, and manual laborers in 2015.
Overall, it is clear that in every examined sectors, men were paid more than women, with the biggest disparity being technicians. Additionally, in both sexes, professionals had the highest income while manual workers earned the least.
The smallest difference could be seen in professionals, as men’s wage was 2000$, slightly higher than that of women, at 1,900$. There was a bigger income gap in manual laborers, with males earning 1100$ weekly, compared to 850 for their female counterparts.
Regarding the remaining occupations, the same gap of 350$ was recorded in the weekly salaries of male and female service workers, whose earnings were 1350$ and 1000$, respectively, and clerical workers, who made 1300$ and 95$, in that order. Finally, the wage of male technicians far exceeded the figure for females, with respective figures being 11400$ and 900$.
