The scheme illustrates the way how exports changed in HK billions in years 2009 and 2010.
Overall, during the one year period the proportion of overall exports increased by 20%. The lowest share of exports is manufacturing, while the index of metals is the highest.
The equipment section had a slight increase for 13% within one year. The proportion of telecommunications were at almost 8 in 2009, and remarkably grew by nearly five HK billions in the following year. The segment of metals suddenly rose from 2.3 to 5.1 HK billions, which was the significant growth among all kind of exports (122%).
The remaining two categories were only percentages which had a moderate drop. The section of clothing ranked third with the result of 6 billions in 2009. However, the clothing segment had a minimal decline for just one billion dollars over the given period (-17%). The last category of exports which is manufacturing, was the lowest contribution by -27%. Respectively, the share of manufacturing declined from five and a half to 4 billion dollars in HK during the one year period.
