The presented table illustrates the number of universities and their positions in the top 200 in the world according the three subjects (biology, medicine and psychology) in five different countries in 2011.
Overall, it is clear that the USA showed the lowest position for three subjects, while New Zealand headed the list. Another interesting point is that Australia and Canada shared the same position in the biology sphere.
As for the USA, which ranked the last among five countries in all three subjects. Biology subject was ranked 69, while the UK was placed on 28. However, medicine was by 15 ranks higher than biology and psychology was on 58. What it comes to the United Kingdom, which was in top 30 for medicine and psychology.
The next is Australia and Canada which shared nineth place according to the biology subject. The former country was by one position higher in medicine than the latter country, accounting for 12 and 13. However, Australia was on the seventeenth place for the psychology subject, while Canada ranked the fourteenth.
Finally New Zealand, which was topped the list. All three subjects were in top 10. Medicine was ranked the second, psychology was followed by 4th place and biology was on the sixth position.
