The given table provides information about how the college freshmen of three different courses (economics, law, and commerce) considered some resources in their respective courses to be ‘very good’. Overall, most commerce students were pleased with all the resources in their course, and there were some noticeable differences among the resources in the economics course.
Looking at teaching quality, tutor support, and printed resources, commerce had the most ‘very good’ ratings compared to the others. Specifically, around 95% of the freshmen rated said aspects very good, with teaching quality having the highest proportion. This is followed by the economics course, where 95%, 90%, and 81% of the first-year students gave such ratings to teaching quality, tutor support, and printed resources, respectively. In contrast, under 80% of the first-year students in the law course found the abovementioned aspects to be very good.
Regarding pre-course information and other resources, the commerce course still witnessed the highest figures, with the former having 95% and the latter having 91%. However, just approximately 60% of the freshmen in the economics course deemed said resources very good, whereas between 70% and 80% of those in the law course did so.
