The given table illustrates how women’s positions in working varied in five distinct countries.
Overall, it is evident that Australia and the United States are the countries that attract more and more women taking part in the workforce, while the opposite trend is true for Sri Lanka and Egypt. In addition, there is a notable discrepancy between the representation of female and male employees.
The highest proportions are recorded in Australia and the US in working. In the former, 42% of the workforce and 43% of managers are female, whereas in the latter, these figures are 46% and 43%, respectively, representing the most balanced discrepancy.
Concerning the remaining countries, by contrast, Japan stands out in the first position in the labor workforce, with 48%, while in management, it is held dominantly by men. Following this, the gap between women’s positions in working in Sri Lanka is huge, with 41% of the workforce and 9% in the managerial sector. Besides, a similar trend can be experienced in the percentage of Egypt, but to a lesser extent, 20% in the former and 12% in the latter.
