Moreover, Sri Lanka has about 41% women in the workforce, significantly greater than the women in the leadership roles, at nearly 9%.
There are about 17% female managers, which is 31% disproportionately less than the women in the workforce in Japan. Similarly, the proportion of females in the labour force is around 46%, slightly higher than the percentage of female leaders.
