The chart illustrates the survey conducted among three distinct Scottish age groups about the different levels of engagement in separate cultural activities over a 1-year period.
Overall, it can be seen that any performance is the most widely chosen activity among all aged 16 and over, while computer remained the lowest.
The primary activity engagement of age 16-24 was any performance, which accounted for 35%, as opposed to computer base ( 10% ). 30% of young adults identified that any visual art was their favorite activity. This was followed by 17% chose any visual art. A significant number of adults mentioned that any performance, undertaking any crafts and cultural purchases were seen as the most engaged activities with 22%, 17% and 17% respectively
In contrast, only 6% of aged 25-44 people involved in any writing. With 22%, undertaking any craft was in the lead among the level of participation of aged 45-74 in cultural activities, highlighting the stark disparities between the young and middle aged adults. Surprisingly, despite having the second highest level of engagement in aged 16-24, any visual art placed relatively low among aged group 45-74
