The table illustrates an amount of revenue from the sales of a small restaurant in a downtown business district during the week of October 7-13.
The small restaurant followed a fair pattern throughout the weekdays, whereas on the weekend it showed a shift within the sales. Lunch and dinner peaked throughout the week while it scaled down as the weekends set in.
During the week of October 7-11, the lunch sales averaged approximately at $2,400. The highest lunch sales occurred on Wednesday, and on the weekends it saled down to $1,200 less than the average lunch sales during the rest of the week.
Dinner sales, which generated atleast $1,000 to $1,500 more a day than lunch sales, also remained steady during the week. Just like lunch sales, the dinner sales peak on friday and dipped down on the weekend. The dinner crowd of this restaurant depends on the rush-hour of customers’ preferred range of time, whereas Sunday lunch time was the least profitable and Friday dinner sales reached its maximum sales.
