The different modes of travel used by population of Sydney and Adelaide have been presented by the table chart in 2011 and 2016.
Overall, it is noticeable that people were relied more on the cars in both the countries, whereas bicycle and other transportation were the least used by the natives in Sydney and Adelaide.
According to the details, the highest preferred mode of transportation was cars in Sydney and Adelaide, the proportion decreased from 62% to 58% in the former in 2016 and in the later one to 64%. Interestingly, the ratio of other modes remained stable at 2% in Sydney, while in Adelaide it increased by 2%(9%) in 2016.Conversely, the utilisation of bicycles after a period of 5 years, rose by 1% in both the countries and were 6% and 4% respectively.
Turning to further details, 2011, the dependence on train rose in Sydney by 3% (19%) in contrast to going by walking which declined to 4% and 6% in 2016. Surprisingly, the buses gained popularity in both the cities, rising from9% to 11% in Sydney and 6% to 8% in Adelaide.
