Overall, Canada uses the largest proportion of its water for industrial purposes, while Egypt’s water usage primarily focuses on agriculture. Of particular note is domestic use, which makes up the smallest share of water in all surveyed areas in question, with the exception of Canada.
Looking first at the water utilization for industrial needs, Canada leads the pack with a whopping 70%. Trailing far behind are the percentages of water in New Zealand and Saudi Arabia, with the respective figures of 46% and 30%, compared to 10% in Egypt. As for agriculture, Egypt uses an astonishing 82% of its water for agriculture, followed by Saudi Arabia (64%) and New Zealand (44%). Next comes Canada with a tenth.When it comes to domestic usage, Canada distributes 20% of its water sources for domestic purposes, with New Zealand allocating 10% of its water to that. Finally, these figures for Egypt and Saudi Arabia account for comparatively small 8% and 6%, respectively.
