The table provides information on the five kinds of registered vehicles in Australia in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
Overall, throughout the three years registrations for all vehicles increased, with the numbers of motorcycles and light trucks receiving the highest percentage difference since the beginning of given information.
Passenger vehicles and Commercial vehicles stood out the most as the two types of vehicles with the highest number of registrations, at 11,8mil and 2,3mil respectively. By 2012, Passenger vehicles underwent a moderate incline rising to 12,7mil, further increasing to .3mil, reaching 13.mil 2 years after, for a 10,2% jump in numbers. Whereas the latter, from 2.3mil in 2010 to 2,6mil and ultimately 2,7 mil, Commercial vehicles had an increase of 17,4% at the end of the period of time.
Regarding the three remaining types of vehicles were considered as less favourable. 384k heavy vehicles, 106k light trucks and 540k motorcycles were the beginning positions for each. While motorcycles grew the most rapidly, a 30% growth to 709k by the end of the time period, with light trucks receiving a rise in percentage not so far behind, with a more than 23% increase, swollen up to 131k. Regarding heavy trucks, it made a marginal increase amounting to 416k, a 8,3% increased in registrations.
