The table illustrates the percentage of consumer spending in three categories- food/drinks/tobacco, clothing/ footwear and leisure/ education in five different countries.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the all five countries consumers spent their income on food, drinks and tobacco while they spent lowest percent of their money for leisure and education. Turkey had the highest spending percentage on food items, whereas Sweden had the lowest.
In terms of food Turkey had the highest percentage with 32.14% another big percentage take the Ireland with 28.91%. Spain and Italy illustrated 18.8% and 16.36% respectively, while Sweden had the lowest point at 15.77%. In terms of clothing Italy had the biggest percentage equal to 9. Turkey, Ireland and Spain have similar level expenditure, ranking from 6.43% to 6.63%. Sweden has the lowest percent equal to 5.4.
If we look at spending percentages for leisure and education, we can see the low percentages. Turkey had the highest percentage 4.35, followed by Sweden and Italy both were just above than 3. Spain had the lowest percent in this type of spending equal to 1.98%.
