The table shows the percentages of the money spent on four different categories in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and Spain. Overall, housing takes up the most money to pay in all five countries. People tend to spend the least on clothing and entertainment.
German, English, and French people spend more than a third of their income on housing, whereas Turkish and Spanish residents pay a similar amount for food & drinks. In the UK 37% of the monthly income is spent on household expenses, which appears to be the most money put in this category in all five countries. Contrary, the Spanish spend 18% of their revenue on housing, and the Turkish 20%.
People in France and Spain spend the least money on clothes, while UK and Turkish residents invest no more than 10% of their income in entertainment. For clothing and entertainment Germans give 15 and 19 percent of their earnings, the highest percentage spent in these categories. Other countries’ residents’ expenditures on clothing and entertainment range between 10% and almost 20%.
