It is clear that computer, cell phones, dishwasher and digital camera items increased significantly, and using color TV improved slightly. However, users of video recorder decreased in 2002. The washing machines was the highest proportion in the both years, but digital camera users were the least.
In 1998, the households of New Zealand used washing machines (98%), while this percentage did not change in 2002. The second largest proportion was color TV’s consumers (95%), and rose only 2% by 2002. The figure for computers was 50%, and the next four years reached to 78%. Meanwhile, cell phones was 20%, but it rose fourfold in 2002. The video recorders was 75%, and this figure decreased 15%. In addition, the percentage of dishwashers was 18%, and it increased nearly three times. The digital cameras was minimum (2%), and then it reached 39%.
