The table provides information about the number of Indian full-time students who studied at seven UK universities – Coventry, Greenwich, BPP, Sheffield, Anglia Ruskin, and Leicester – in the academic years 2020/21 and 2021/22.
At first glance, it is clear that all universities experienced a significant increase over the given period. The highest percentage of growth was observed at Sheffield University, while the lowest increase among these universities was recorded at BPP University.
On the one hand, Coventry, Sheffield, and Leicester universities experienced a large rise of over 100%. Coventry went up from around 2,400 to 5,290 students, showing an increase of 121.3%. Sheffield started at 815 students and dramatically rose to 2,345 students, representing the highest increase of 187.7%. Leicester University also showed an increase of over 100%, but it was lower than the previous two universities – only 103.4%.
On the other hand, Greenwich, Anglia Ruskin, and BPP universities witnessed smaller increases of below 100%. Greenwich University started with 2,455 students and ended with 4,540 students, showing a growth of 84.9%. Anglia Ruskin University showed a similar pattern, rising from 1,925 to 3,265 students, which represents an increase of 69.6%. The smallest change was observed at BPP University, which grew from 3,505 to 5,145 students, a rise of only 46.8%.
