Moreover, the figures for the tourists 25-35 year old had the largest percentage of arrivals in both years, while the age category from 16 to 24 had the smallest number of tourists in 1981, and in 2015 it was tourists 35-45 and o-15.
In 1981, half of all UK visitors to Spain were aged 25-35, making it the dominant group. However, by 2015, this figure had dropped sharply to 32%. Similarly, the percentage of 35-45-year-olds decreased dramatically to 12% in 2015 down from 22% in 1981.
