The table gives information about the financial assistance allocated to developing nations by the USA, EU countries and other countries between 2006 and 2010.
Overall, there was an upward trend in the total aid figures over the period. While the USA displayed the highest contribution over the years, the EU and other countries witnessed a decrease in their financial support.
The USA consistently increased its aid allocation throughout the period than the EU and other countries. At the beginning of the year, it increased to at the end of the year except 2009. This was followed by EU and other countries with small growth. Initiated at 9,8 million in 2006, the USA’s aid escalated to 11 and 17 million in 2007 and 2008, respectively, with a minor decline in 2009. However, it reached a peak in 2010 with substantial donation of 20,3 million. Notably, despite the EU and other nations contributions were comparatively lower, the collective aid total rose from 15,7 million in 2006 to 28,1 million in 2010.
In contrast to the USA, both the EU and other countries saw a consistent lower amount of money each year, an average around 4 million. Similarly, other countries had the lowest financial assistance in 2007 and 2009.
