The table illustrates the export volume of 5 different products and their overall value in 2009 and 2010. It also shows the proportional change of them during the same period.
Overall, export value of equipment, telecommunity and metals increased noticeably, the reverse was true for closing and manufacturing. Moreover, metals and telecommunity stood out among the other products with consistently higher proportional changes.
In 2009, the export value of equipments was 10.3 billion HK dollars and by 2010, rose to 11.6 and the change was 13%. By comparison, the amount of telecommunity export rise from 7.9 billions to 12.7, but the proportional change was much higher, at 61%. The highest change was in the export of metals, which rose from 2.3 to 5.1 and with 122% of change.
The export of clothing and manufacturing, on the other hand, bucked the trend. In 2009, the export volume of clothing was 6 billions, the figure that then fell slightly to 5 billion in 2010 with -17% of change, while manufacturing decreased from 5.5 to 4 billion HK dollars and proportional change was -27%.
