The table presents data regarding the influx of foreign visitors to nine different countries, alongside the percentage variations from 2009 to 2010.
Overall, there was a notable increase in the number of foreigners across the nine countries. However, Hong Kong’s figure declined minimally, while France’s figure stood the same over the time frame.
In 2009, the US, Spain, and Italy grew slighlty from 66 million to 67 million, 55 million to 56 million, and 44 million to 45 million visitors respectively. Meanwhile, the number of tourist that visited France remain the same over the period, accounting for no changes. Conversely, the number of foreigners declined minimally by 1% in Hong Kong, dropping from 10 million to 9 million between 2009 and 2010.
However, Turkey, China and Germany registered a similar upward trend, rising from 33 million to 45 million, 22 million to 34 million, and 11 million to 23 million tourist respectively from 2009 to 2010. It is significant to note that Germany reflected the highest proportion of 109% among all nine countries, whereas Hong Kong saw the least of -11%.
