The table chart illustrates the figure of atomic weapons possessed by China, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, UK and USA in 1965, 1990 and 2005.
Overall, Russia and USA had the most significant number of nuclear weapons in the period shown. Meanwhile Germany and Japan did not possess nuclear weapons.
USA had the largest number of nuclear weapons, in 1990 it experienced a dramatically increase in the ownership of number of weapons up to 7534, and it had a slight decrease in its weapons’ possession to 6976 in 2005. Russia had the second largest number of nuclear weapons, in 1990 surged to 4873 and by 2005 it experienced a fall of just under 4000 weapons.
On the other hand, countries such as UK, China, and France saw an increase in the figure of nuclear weapons on over 100% by 1990, and by 2005 there was a decline in the ownership of atomic weapons in UK up to 198, in China up to 192 and in France up to 32. Nevertheless, Germany and Japan did not have any weapons in 1695, 1990 and 2005.
