The given table illustrates the percentage of journeys made by different transport forms in four countries, to be exact, Canada, Belgium, Germany, and Netherland. However, the bar graph below demonstrates the results of a survey into car use in Canada.
Overall, on the one hand, looking at the given table, it is clearly seen that, the most preferred transport form among all 4 countries was car, while the least use was detected in “other” category. On the other hand, the bar graph shows that, the biggest reason why people use car travelling to the work is the lack of other choice.
The table displays that cars are the most preferred transportation in all of the four countries. Nonetheless, Netherlands is the lowest with only 47%, while Canada becomes the highest with 90%. Subsequently, Netherlands is the number one in bicycle usage with 26% and walking with 18%. Although, Canada is the lowest in both, with only 1% in bicycle usage and 5% in transportation on foot.
The bar graph depicts that, around 37% of people choose cars because of the absence of alternative. Work necessity comes in second with 30% and comfortability comes in third with approximately 22%. While “quicker” is voted by around 12%, the least chosen reason is “work nightshift” at just under 10%
