The tables present the data about the amount of money earned from the Fairtrade-labeled tea and pineapples in 2010 and 2015 in five countries in Europe.
Overall, an upward trend was seen for tea sales, as opposed to the sales of pineapples, specifically in Norway and Germany where there was a slight drop.
Turning to the details, the profit from selling tea accumulated by France escalated significantly from 2.5 million to 21 million euros.Similarly, the sales in Norway, Germany, Netherlands, and Austria rose slightly in the final year which resulted in 2, 3, 2.7, and 8 million euros, respectively. With regard to pineapples’ sales, the amount of money earned by Austria in 2015 tripled, from 16 to 48 million euros, and it was the highest among all countries.
Unlike Norway and Germany, after half a decade, the profits marginally decreased to 2 and 1.9 million euros, respectively. At the same time, both nations gained the lowest pineapple sales.By contrast, France’s and Netherlands’ revenue were in the middle range and a gap of half million euros was recorded between the two, with the former higher. In addition, in 2010, Netherlands generated the lowest sales at 1.6 million euros.
